Target attendees: Academics (incl. Early Career Researchers at/beyond post-doc level), postdocs outside the ECR scope, representatives from industry and non-Higher Education research organisations.
Aim of the event: The UK Metamaterials Network Conference 2022 provides a space for the community to come together to widen knowledge horizons beyond subject-specifics to lay the foundation for future collaborations between and across UK academia and industry (e.g., addressing grand challenges, joint projects, research grants, consultancy work etc.).
Its aim is to enhance scientific understanding and relationships across the breadth of the UK metamaterials research landscape. The discussion outcomes will build the foundation of a written document to outline this landscape and the future of metamaterials in the UK, alongside potential White Papers on Metamaterials for NetZero, Space, and Augmented Reality.
Sponsors: The UK Metamaterials Network Conference 2022 is kindly sponsored by EPSRC and Dstl.
