Scientific focus and expertise:
Nanomaterials/materials chemistry and engineering, 3D magnetic nanocomposites, development of diagnostic nanobiosensors for infectious pathogens and neurodegenerative diseases, functional nanomaterials for self-powered systems. Other interests are in the photophysics and applications of nanocomposites of 2D semiconductor/carbon-based nanomaterials/quantum dots and macrocyclic organic complexes.
