  • £10 registration fee (to be paid after expressions of interest have been submitted)
  • PhD students may register for free.
  • There will be a conference dinner at no extra cost to the delegates.

Event Description

A research conference on Materials for Net Zero (with a sub theme of metamaterials). This event is a unique opportunity, bringing together UK researchers and specialists in this seminal conference on net zero application technologies and creating new collaborations to drive the field forwards.

We welcome poster and paper proposals, to be reviewed by the organising committee. A special issue publication is under consideration.

The event organisers are Steven Hepplestone (University of Exeter), Katie Shanks (University of Exeter), Roxanne Middleton (University of Bath) and Ioannis Papakonstantinou (UCL)

Themes include:

  • Solar materials and photovoltaic innovations
  • Battery technologies and energy storage
  • Thermoelectric materials
  • Alternative fuel storage and production
  • Sustainable materials for decarbonisation
  • Metamaterials and their emerging applications in net-zero systems
