Manufacturing on the millimetre length scale and above

This 1 hour session will focus on showcasing and discussing metamaterials manufacturing on the micro- to millimeter length scale.

The event is hosted by the UK Metamaterials Network, and chaired by Dr Claire Dancer and Dr Nick Grant (University of Warwick).

Following a short background talk, 3 speakers will give insights in their expertise in 5 minutes lightning presentations, followed by 35 minutes discussion during which the participants can share their own expertise, challenges, and solutions:

• Metamaterials for Aerospace – Cameron Gallagher (University of Exeter)
• Additive manufacturing for topological mechanical metamaterials – Anton Souslov (University of Bath)
• Manufacturing Graded Ceramics for Electromagnetic Metamaterials – Abhijeet Sarangi (University of Warwick)

The target audience are scientists in academia and industry, governmental agencies, RTOs, etc at all career stages.
