Description: The trasnformative origami metamaterial that has mechanism bifurcation is constituted by serveral pentagon chiral origami units. Trasnformation of each unit is based on the 4 bar linkage mechansim. The macro structure can smoothly achieve the variation of curvature direction from single horizontal direction to single vertical direction which are also achieve the flat compressed state finally and the middle state is an expanded double curvature structure. This structure can be applied in the mechanicam engineering for shape morphing skeleton or civil engineering structure for transformative bridge, morphing dome of building, etc. Corresponding author: Huanjuan Feng & Ben Xu.
